CONDITIONS GENERALES (english below )

L’oeuvre sera réalisée sur place par l’artiste, elle ne sera pas apportée de l’atelier.

Chaque projet sélectionné se verra défrayé d’une somme de 250 euros qui ne pourra être versée qu’après le symposium.

Sites en Ligne se réserve toutefois le droit de ne pas verser cette somme au cas où l’artiste n’aurait pas rempli son contrat.

 Hébergement

L’A.S.B.L. Sites en Ligne invitant ses participants, l’organisation se chargera du couvert de ceux-ci, à raison de trois repas par jour durant la durée du séjour et ne dépassant pas deux artistes par projet. Les autres artistes d’un collectif ou d’éventuels accompagnateurs ne seront pas pris en charge et pourront se restaurer à petits prix.

Un terrain de camping sera également mis à la disposition des artistes, ils devront cependant prévoir leur matériel de camping (tente, sac de couchage, etc.…). Des sanitaires sont prévus (douches, toilettes).

 Emplacements

Le parcours est délimité par un sentier relativement long et pouvant accueillir une vingtaine de participants. Les tailleurs de tronc travailleront sur un terrain annexe ou dans le bois s’ils n’utilisent pas de machines.

Les participants sont invités (sans obligation) à venir visiter le parcours du bois par eux même (voir info dans “Go there”) ou sur rendez vous en contactant Mario Ferretti au 0032 (0)67 45 86 21. Il est intéressant de visiter le parcours, afin de penser le projet en intégration avec le lieu. Cependant, nous comprendrons que les artistes venant de l’étranger ne peuvent faire le déplacement.

 Les prix

Trois prix seront attribués :

-Le prix « Sites en Ligne » décerné par les votes des artistes et des organisateurs.

-Le prix du public pour les troncs.

-Le prix du public pour les installations.

Chaque prix ayant une valeur de 1250 euros.

REGLEMENT

Outillage

Chaque participant amènera son propre outillage. Lors de la remise de son projet, il devra mentionner ses besoins éventuels en eau, en électricité ou autres. L’organisation tâchera, dans la mesure du possible, de satisfaire les demandes. A noter que, les endroits de travail prévus se situant en pleine forêt, l’électricité sera disponible uniquement pour les tailleurs et les artistes travaillant en début de parcours.

La forêt est un domaine privé qui nous est prêté : aucune branche d’aucun arbre ne peut être coupée ou abîmée. Quels que soient les matériaux et la discipline choisis, l’artiste devra travailler dans le respect des lieux. Le jury de présélection se verra dans l’obligation de refuser les projets ne tenant pas compte de ce point.

Assurances

Sites en Ligne décline toute responsabilité en cas d’accidents. Nous vous invitons donc à contracter une assurance personnelle.

Présence sur le site

Les participants s’engagent à être présents pendant toute la durée du concours, ainsi

que le lundi 27 août 2018 pour remettre leur site dans l’état où ils l’ont trouvé.

Les tailleurs de bois bénéficieront d’un délai de 15 jours pour venir retirer leur tronc du site. L’asbl Sites en Ligne n’étant toutefois pas responsable des dégats qui pourraient être causés à ceux-ci durant ce délai. Si ce délai était dépassé, l’asbl Sites en Ligne pourrait disposer du tronc à son gré.

Sélections 2018

Un jury interne à l’organisation sélectionnera 30 des meilleurs projets. Pour ce faire, veuillez envoyer un dossier complet comprenant :

- Un curriculum vitæ

- Au moins trois photos de vos travaux les plus récents

- Un explicatif écrit du projet

- Au moins trois croquis explicites du projet à réaliser

- Une description des matériaux utilisés

- Le formulaire ci-joint complété et signé

Ce dossier devra être envoyé avant le 31 mars 2016, cachet de la poste faisant foi, à :

GENERAL CONDITIONS

The art work will be will be carried out on site and the artist will not bring a work from his studio.

Each selected project will be defrayed in the amount of 250 euros which will be paid only after the symposium.

Sites Online reserves the right not to pay the defray in the event of the artist has not fulfilled its contract.

The Sites en Ligne project is based on a symbolical, local celebration: the Planting of the May Tree, which celebrates the beginning of springtime and takes place each year on the last Sunday of April. The first part of the project consists in the tree trunk carving of the “May Planting”.

The trunk will be cut into ten segments (each segment will be +/- 2 meters high) and carved by the selected artists. The second part of the project is dedicated to installations.

These two disciplines imply that the artists create their work of art on the spot. They may not bring existing works from their workshops.

Accomodation

The NPMA Sites en Ligne invites the artists taking part in the symposium. Each selected artist will receive 3 meals a day during their stay. Please note that the organisation will not feed more than two artists per project, any accompanying person will have to pay for their meals, which will be available at low prices.

A camping site will be at the artists’ disposal, but they will have to bring their own tents and sleeping bags. Bathrooms will be available.

 Sites

The artists may visit (without obligation) the site along a rather long path in the woods during one of the visits organized (take a look at the schedule) or by taking an apointment with Mario Ferrretti (phone: 0032 (0)67 45 86 21).

The trunk carvers will work in a separate area or in the wood if they don’t use engine.

It is interesting for the artist to be present at one of those visits in order to think the project in integration with the place, however we understand that artists from abroad can’t come.

 Awards

Three prizes will be awarded:

-Sites en Ligne’s prize, awarded by artist and organizer’s votes.

-Audience Award for the trunks

Audience Award for the installations

Each prize is worth 1,250 euros.

RULES

Equipment

Each selected artist will provide their own equipment. When handing over their project presentation, they must mention their needs in water, electricity and anything else necessary. The organization will try to meet those requests. Please note that as the working sites are located in the woods, electricity will only be provided for the trunk carvers.

The forest is a private ground which is kindly lent to us! No living tree branches may be cut or damaged. Whatever the chosen materials and discipline may be, the key words are “respect for nature”. The pre-selection judges will have to turn down projects that don’t meet this principle.

Insurance

Sites en Ligne will not be liable for accidents. Artists should have their own insurance policy if they feel the need.

Presence on the site

The artists taking part in the symposium commit to being present during the entire week, as well as on August 27 to clean-up their own working site and leave it as it was when they arrived.

The trunk-carvers have 15 days after the symposium to remove their trunk, however the organization is not responsible for the damages caused during that period.

If that period was exceeded, the association Sites en Ligne could have the trunk at its discretion.

Selection 2018

An internal panel of judges will select the best 30 projects. In order to take part in the competition, please send us your complete file including:

A resume

At least three pictures of your most recent work

A written description of your project

At least three clear, rough sketches of your project

A description of the materials that will be used

The filled out and signed application form

This file must be postmarked and sent by March 31, 2018 at the latest to:
